Amy Jade Winehouse (Southgate (London), September 14, 1983 – Camden (London), July 23, 2011[1]) was a British jazz and soul singer. She became known in the United Kingdom with her album Frank. She became known in the rest of the world with her album Back to Black, which contained the hit singles Rehab and Back to Black. She collaborated with Mark Ronson, among others, and that gave her the big hit Valerie, a cover of a song by the band The Zutons. Winehouse was often negatively reported in the news because of her alcohol and drug addiction. She became the first British woman to win five Grammy Awards
